In 1989 at the age of eighteen Juergens & Co.
founder Peter Juergens handcrafted his first rigid
presentation box from his modest Sydney studio.
With hand-brushed lettering and illustration
characteristic of the late 1800s the box
transformed from sheets of card and paper
to gift a fine milk chocolate
Easter Egg for a local Belgian Chocolatier.

Unforeseen in its making lay the foundations for what
is now the Juergens & Co. reputation of
handcrafting Australia's finest cases and boxes
with beauty, flexibility and durability.  
The original 30-year-old Chocolate box may be viewed at
the Juergens & Co. Workshop, as an example of
true craftsmanship, withstanding the test of time.
